Biography
I was born in Saonara, near Venice, in 1950. I am married and have a son and a daughter.

I have a diploma in Computer Sciences and trained in sales at Olivetti where I started working in 1971 in Padua dealing with microcomputers for technical and scientific applications. Our main customers were universities, research centers, civil engineering industries, banks and insurance companies. Later I was transferred to Milan in order to work in marketing . In 1979 I was promoted to my first managerial position as branch manager for the Northern Italian regions of Lombardy and Piedmont and subsequently of Veneto , Trentino Alto Adige and Friuli Venezia Giulia.
In 1984 Olivetti which, at the time, was a worldwide market leader in the field of personal computers, was reorganized passing from an organization based on product to a market-based company. I was assigned to the Public Administration division for the area of Triveneto. In 1987 I returned to Milan as Marketing Director for the local public administration division and, in 1989, I was appointed Director of this division for the whole of Italy. At that time I was also a member of several Boards of Directors of software companies in which Olivetti had a participation.
In 1991 I was promoted Head of Worldwide Marketing for Public Administration with the task of following products globally and supporting affiliates in promoting Olivetti’s computer products, services and applications in that specific market all over the world.
In 1995 I became sales manager of a joint venture between Olivetti and Nortel Networks, the American multinational leader in the field of computer science applied to telecommunications. At the end of 1997, Nortel acquired 100% of the company and in 1998 I became General Manager of Nortel Networks Italy. In Italy Nortel sold equipment for telephone exchanges and data transmission in areas ranging from government to finance, industry and tlc carriers.

From 1999 I held the position of Managing Director of COLT Telecom Torino and was involved in the start-up of the company in the city of Turin. In 2002 I was hired as Regional Director at FASTWEB. The Company had rolled out a fibre optic network in Milan, wanted to expand to other Italian cities and was looking for a person who was well acquainted with the area of Piedmont in order to extend its fibre optic network to households and businesses.
In September 2003 FASTWEB appointed me as Director of the Large Account Business Unit where I was responsible for services and solutions for large enterprises and the public sector. FASTWEB had been founded in 1999 and, in those years, Telecom Italia had been the sole supplier for the Public Administration. My team and I worked in order to gain credibility, first with small orders, then slowly increasing our market share in the enterprise industry and gaining the trust of ministries, local government, banks and large multinational industries.
Since 2011, I have been Chief Operating Officer of FASTWEB where I was in charge of coordinating activities between the Consumer and the Enterprise business units and the Technology Division. The last two years have been very successful for FASTWEB: since 2012 the Company has become a market leader in the acquisition of new broadband customers, both residential customers and small businesses, and it has also grown in the large account industry where it is the main fixed line alternative provider.
In July 2014, after 12 years in Fastweb with a lot of professional satisfactions, I left the Company, starting a new entrepreneurial activity.
